Creating beautiful hand made things has always been a passion from an early age. I grew up in Balmoral, a small rural town in South West Victoria, where I developed a love of nature, especially the beautiful gum trees.

I hold a Bachelor of fine Arts from Warrnambool and a Graduate Diploma of Education from Ballarat.

Hamilton became my home town in 1992, where I have raised my family and taught at various schools.

In 2016 I had the opportunity to rent a ceramic studio at Hamilton Institute of Rural Learning, where I began Adult classes and reinvigorated my love for ceramics.

My work is Inspiration by the beautiful country around me, the shapes and forms, the natural landscape and its animals. I love to work on the wheel and by hand. I find the properties of clay very tactile, which relaxes me and gives me great satisfaction. Stoneware clay is my preferred clay because of its versatility and functionality. Glazing is inspiring and practical, from the preciseness of underglazes, to the effect of glazes. The unpredictable outcomes of working with clay and glazes is what I enjoy the most.

I love to create, teach and mentor.
